well what a year it has been....

January was huge - Cameron turned 14, ray turned 37. all 3 boys were at high school - Matt year 11, Cameron year 9 and Corey year 8. we started renos on the house.

February - MY BIRTHDAY!!!!! i turned 36, Matt turned 16 - argh!!!!! Matt had swimming for school and won age champion and then went on to districts and then onto states.

march - mum and dad came over from NZ - yay - we had a great few days together including a few days down the coast and a trip to dreamworld and Australia zoo and outback spectacular - worth every penny - awesome night out!!!!! Matt went for his learners and failed twice

April - life went on..lol Matt failed his learners yet again. Matt competed in the qld state school swimming championships. finals for summer season of touch footy - all boys teams came 2nd - Matt got best and fairest for his team...

may - mothers day - life must have gone on smoothly..

June - life was still rolling along without us...hehe

July - Corey's birthday, he turned 13 - 3 teenage boys in the house - arghhhhhhhhhhhhh. we went and played laser skirmish - talk about huge fun.... we also had an exchange student from japan - his name was tama - he was wonderful - so well mannered - we are glad we did it after being so disappointed after our last exchange student.

august - saw ray 12 month check up for his hip - doc said leg not ready yet come back in 12 more months - sort of yay - sort of bugger... we also sad goodbye to Goran - he was a very naughty dog and got into the chooks pen - twice so he had to go. end of footy season - thank goodness - no teams through this year...

Sept - was our annual family road trip - this year it was too birdsville - again - we love it out there - a couple of days before we left -ray was asked to stay for the whole birdsville series which meant that i had to finish our road trip with out him. so the kids and i drove the birdsville track all the way to port pirie ( to see the wonderful lone) then across to broken hill, dubbo, up to grafton and home - 7500kms - we had a blast!!!!!! ray stayed and did the series a few winners and some fishing, 4 weeks later we were back together as a family - very weird - as we both did new things on own.

oct - Matt finally got his licence - woohoo!!!!! Cameron started flying lessons - he is in his element. we got some new chooks...swimming club started...

nov - Matt is driving us every where including crazy...lol Matt and Corey got awards at the schools sports awards night - Corey zone champions for volley ball and matt got age champion boy swimmer and state rep award. kids had finals for touch footy for winter season- matt and cams team came 2nd in their grades and coreys team won!!!!!

dec - well the run down to the end of the year was huge - Matt brought himself a car, i lost my beloved kitty - Zach - to snake bite so very very sad.... we also got a new kitty ( a few days before Zach passed away) her name is Gary, she is a Manx...

Christmas came and went kids got spoil t. we got a new internal staircase - very nice....lol

hope you all had a great 2008 - here's to a huge 2009 - live well, love much and laugh often - even if its at yourself....hehehe

we lost poor zach last week to a snake bite - so very very sad. he is buried under the mandarin tree. we will make him a cross in the coming weeks.

we got a new cat - about 10 days before Zach passed away - she is a Manx and her name is Gary - yes there is a story there.... we order a boy kitty, when the lady rang adn said there is a boy born do you want it - yep cool thanks - let me know when hes ready to go, so about 2 weeks ago , i briing her home, later that night we were having cuddles when corey asked are we sure its a boy, yeah why - um it looks liek a girl - so we all pick her up and have a look and yep gary is a girl - but her name gary has stuck - in case your wondering - GARY is from spongebob squarepants.....

isnt she a cutie!!!!!!!

Cameron's flying lessons are going good - should have his licence around easter...

Menu planning

there has been a lot of chit chat around the groups about menu planning - i thought i would give you my two cents worth - ok we all know its going to be about $100 worth ...lol

If this works you should be able to see my menu plan for 5 weeks - it stays the same - basically. As most of you know we have no takeway near us - ok we have fish and chips but after so many years - its not worth it.

so where you see takeaway type food - its not its all home made!!!!

subway - means french stick salad rolls - i can choose from what ever cold meats are on special - ray likes turkey, i love roast pork, matt likes his seafood - so we can get little bits of things we really love - also allows me to change each time so it will never been the same

pizzas - home made base's but they pick the topping just the same - ray loves ham and pineapple - ew - cam and corey love meat lovers - any cold meat left over form the subway night gets frozen to use on the pizzas

hot chooks - you can get them mark down for broken etc - or when i special - i grab a few and freeze. i will use these for heaps of things - roast chook rolls, pies, pizzas and of course a roast.

beef and chicken wellingtons - this is where i can change it heaps - add ham and cheese, spinach and cheese - yummm - bacon and onion - so once again this wont be the same meal again for at least 3 months

mince - i love mince - i use it for pies, rissoles, meatballs, meatloaf, spagetti bol..

woohoo back again...

mince - i will make up the rissoles, meatloaf and meatballs all in one hit and freeze them...

sausages - cheap and tasty and easy - what more can i say..

duck / turkey - ew - but this is the night we try something new.....

as you can see we are not big fish people - ew - but we use this night to have any thing we would get from the fish shop..

KFC - crumbed chicken - easy peasy and so tasty!!!

chinese - this also will never be the same menu with in 3 months - month it will be beef and black bean and honey chicken - the next sweet and sour chicken and pork in plum - i will use up leaft overs and what ever is on sale at the time...

doughnuts and pancakes - why not...hehehe

i have put food that ray hates on friday nights - the nights he doesnt eat, easy to prepare stuff on monday ( swimming club )

hello peoples....another busy week - Christmas is coming so fast - still no pressies here - well at least i am getting some lists now

I went to Blossies and did 2 classes with Ngaire - she is so awesome - funky and funny all round into one - thanks ngaire for a great fun day!!!!

The first layout is the boys laying on the road - some where bewteen st george and cunnamulla - why ??? why not!!!!!! lol

this next one was so fun to do - the pic of ray and i was taken back in Nov 2006 at treenas wedding and the pic of the boys was taken first day of school Jan 2007 - the writing are rubons - how cool do they look!!!!!!

I also made some cards for a challenge over at SBO - NZ - i am doing their Christmas challenge - its been fun so far...

today i took a group of his friends to laser skirmish - what a blast - totally drained them out, then of fto maccas for lunch and ice cream, then home for cake - then sent them all home tired and cranky - hehehe

Matt competed at the states titles for swimming the other week - that was exciting. he didnt make it to the next round - but we are still very proud of him.

the pink bundle is a friends - she was due on my birthday alas she was 3 days late...lol - so no its not mine!!!!!! oh come on - i am not that crazy.....sort off....

some more pics of mum and dads visit...... we went to the gold coast with them for a few days RnR. stayed at the crown plaza - talk about swish!!!!! we went to the out back spectactular and dreamworld. on the way home we stopped of at ikea ( my theme park.....hehehe).

where do i start - dirt, concrete and just a plain old mess!!!!!

we have started on the new fence. just waiting for the rails to turn up, oh and the rain to stop...lol

of course we had to hand stamp the concrete - you will never guess whowas first - the kids were fighting about would be first - zach walked up, put his two front feet on and then stepped back...lol

as you can see cats and kids have settled in nicely.

and yes that is a baby on my bed - a pink baby....hehehehe

cameron waiting for his turn to bat, yes we played cricket in the rain on saturday.

Matt got age champion for school swimming again this year - he has now won every year since grade 6 - he did 3 PB's - freestyle - 28PB, backstroke - 34pb, butterfly - 32pb and breaststroke - 42 and 2 school records. he did very well at districts today - winning 3 of his heats and a 3rd in his last one - we dont know untill thursday if he is through to regionals. we also had swim club tonight and he set a new club record for 50m free - 29.02 secs. he is really coming along in his swimming.

Matty is now 16 - look out world here he comes...roflpimp

another birthday and a suspension

yes thats right - day 6 and corey is home - some grade 9 kids was teasing him and threw his hat on the roof and asked corey what he was going to do about - he decked the kid.... the kid got 7 days and corey got 4 days - teacher said the other child has issues with bullying last year - so he got more - however if corey does it again he will also get more...

and of course it was my birthday....2 cakes for me at work and then went to a crop day today at LSS ( blossies) and they had one for me as well....lol

i am going to get a new camera ( can you tell i need a new one by the pink tinge to my pics...lol) but not for a couple of weeks - need to really decide if i want a digi SLR or not - cant make up my mind.....

this week new food was sardines and camebert cheese - ok the cheese is not new to me - i love it but got the kids to try it - nope they hate it - yay - i dont have to share...lol

corey tried the sardines but wouldnt put the cheese any where near his month - strange child.

the treat was whipped cream in a can - they love the stuff - so i buy a can for them to eat after they try something new..... - i have already brought next weeks - snails in a can...ew ew ew...lol

oh and BTW - corey can suck whipped cream off his chest...rolfpimp - it makes a cool noise - LIFE WITH BOYS!!!!! pimp

first day of year 8

well today was corey's first day of high school!!!!! doesnt he look happy???? lol

well what a first day to remember in this house - at about 2pm ray and i had a panic that corey would miss the bus ( she has to leave at 3.05 to meet the train to get to the prison on time) so if the kids miss the bus its about a 40 min wait till one of us can go get them... so at 2pm i drove into caboolture to wait - just in case... got a few things and jumped in the car at 3.05, got to maccas and got a traffic report d'ag high way closed until 6pm - um that is our way home and where is thw school bus - head out to the school - no bus no kids, no stress they may have been pass it, go to a friends house for a quick cuppa - thinking the road is shut - no point hurrying home - ring ray at 4pm no corey, ring ray at 4.30 no corey - starting to stress - a little - i know he was on a bus - just didnt know where - meanwhile i am stuck in cab and ray is about to leave for work and still no corey....... ring bus co - they have been put on a cat 3 bus ( with seat belts and 4wd) ok no worries - can you get a message to corey on the bus to get off at woodford and a friend will pick him up there - bus co - um we currently have no conatct with the bus - but i can assure they are all safe on the bus - ok no stress - we dont get much service out here- 4.45pm no bus, no corey - ray has to go work and i am still stuck in cab, friend rings she has her son - cool corey gets off at the stop before so he should be home - ring home no corey - ray says i will go looking for him.... finds him at the bus stop, talking to the police - the road closure starts at the end of our street ( top of the d'ag range) corey say the policeman was getting wet in the rain so he asked him if he would like a jacket, the policeman said yes its in the back of the cop car can you please get it ... so while he is being a good samaritan ray turns up to see corey getting out of a cop car - talk about freak out!!!!!! so coreys home and rays gone to work so i decide to find a way home.... well the detour takes up up and over mt mee - one lane no lines range!!!!! its pouring down rain, i have never driven this road( for good reason ) and now i HAVE NO choice - omfg i havent not been so worried driving like this for a very very long time!!!!!!! but we are all home now safe and sound the moral of the story - have faith in my children's abilitly to deal with whatever life throws at them.....

lets hope tomorrow is better...

ok some of us have had enough!!!! lol

cameron is now 14!!!! we went bowling and had pizza for lunch - too wet to do anything else!!!

with my new job, you find some very interesting things on the shelves - like snails in a can, pig head in jelly and a sushi kit. each week we are going to try something new - this week was the sushi kit - with wasabi - lol matty was the only one game to try it...the smell was bad enough..

we finally got round to putting the tramp back up, the ground was so wet that when matty jumped on it, it went 2 feet into the ground and the welds broke - so guess who will be welding it back together - we think he did on purpose so he could use the new welder....lol

Well christmas has been and gone for another year - lets hope next year goes a bit slower for us. I think we all did very well from santa - teddy got a rocking chair, cameron got a new phone and a wireless plug for his xbox 360. matty got a laptop and some clothes, Corey also got a laptop and some clothes. Horse's still had to be feed and worked....

cameron got a icat for his ipod and i also got one for matty but in the move i lost it - so there is a idog loose in the house - at least he's cheap to feed and doesnt bark...lol

lots of food, swimming and playing around was had by all.

the lounge is looking much better, just have the light fitting to change, but at teh moment it has a fan attached to it, with no aircon, teh fan can stay...lol and we cant decide what to get....

corey had his year 7 graduation - all 3 boys are now at highschool - YAY!!!!!!!

corey also had his swimming carnival - he got age champion again - 3 years running now, he is trying to beat matty who has held his age champion for 6 years running now - friendly rivary

got a new pantry, alas its still not big enough, not sure how i am going to survive for at least 12 months with this.....

we have the keys and are now sanding - brought the paint and a new sander. we will be spending this week sanding and preparing the walls and ceilings ready for us to paint next weekend. no pics now - left camera at the house and there is a storm coming so i am staying put.

have been very busy this month - with a trip to perth to meet mish, marg and barbie from CPC. flew home via a few days in adelaide meeting leonie and kathryn. huge trip but very exciting.

came home to matt with an external suspension for back chatting a teacher and corey with a internal suspension for fighting - man i go away for a week and look whats happens!!!!

off to sydney on thursday for paper arts show then i am home for the rest of the year.

i will keep up to date more now - october just got away from me....

brought another house - well land for a house, house wont be built until late next year, so we are living in this one for now.

waited up til midnight for halo 3 release...

well once again life has taken hold, the horse flu quarantine has taken over our life. daily chekcing teh QR site for updates, developer wanting to take over the farm, not be able to move horses, foals being born and life trying to go one. At least we have had 1 closed race meeting - so some money came in.

Ray is enjoying the meatworks - half the work for the same pay and only 10 mins up teh road instead of 45mins. We are enjoying some family time together atm, we know that as soon as the ban is lifted , life will resume with great vigour.

Kids are all doing well. Had footy presentation yesturday, trophies and jumpers all round. Swimming club starts this week. no rest for anyone.

I have been busy working, teaching and scrapping. The amazing journey has finished over at CPC, that was so much fun. i have scrapped a few pages. mostly cases, but hey - who doesnt case every now and then.

thats it for now, better go wake up ray - we are off for a BBQ lunch today - ok ray has to teach a dad how to shoe horses and we are getting lunch in return....lol

its been a week

but i have been so busy - i gave kathryn my floaties and i think i drowned for a few days..

thursday - we realised the QLD racing wasnt going to get funding to, so ray thought he wou;d ring the meat works and just ask - you never know, told to go online and fill out a form and wait. Well got a phone call thursday arvo - can you come in for a physical next week - yep!

friday - get a phone call - can you start tonight? um hello - yep!!!! so he worked fri, sat and sunday night asked to come back on thursday - he is on the cleaning crew - horrible hard yucky work - 10 hour shifts - but its work..

saturday - i scrapped - didnt do much else - didnt even get dressed.. went to a 40th over the back fence, was home by 8.30 totally stuffed - ended up playing xbox 360 wioth cam and corey till about 11pm

sunday - woke up to a new foal - filly - no name yet. did a couple of classes with kim archer at blossies , they were fun...

mondy - taught a trade class for FTI - that was even more fun

tuesday - had morning tea with miss jacqui and then we both went and meet up with virginia and had yum cha, over lunch we all decided that we would go to CHA next year - told leonie and now she is coming too - yay!!!!!!!

wednesday - today i stayed home and baked - cupboards were so bare!!!! lamingtons, choc chip cookies, pattie cakes, pizza's, bacon and egg pie and quiche.....yummmmmmmmmmm

Well we have just spent 2 days around casino looking at property - found a couple that may do...found one that was very serious a contender - 12 acres, 2km from town, across the road from the race track, power already to the block.

We told the kids we found a new home - with 3 caravans - 1 each, 12.5m lap pool, spa and a shed already on it. We told them it was just above what we can afford, if we get it we woudl hav eto each give up something - they were all offereing things - ray and i are almost wetting oursleves....Then we showed them the pics - oh man were they not impressed.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ROFLPIMP

its spring every body - well as if you didnt know..... hehehehe Not much on the work front, ray did a shift in the bakery last night and thats about it. no more work so far and he cant go any where really anyway noone wants a casual and he cant say how long he can work for....

it looks like he will move down to casino in about 2 weeks and then he hopefully he wil get a clearance to ride work down there - but untill then - he is quarantined to our place. We are enjoying the break and teh time together we got to spend fathers day together, we are having breakfast and dinner as a family. its the little things...lol

I have to go to lismore/casino/ yamba for work tomorrow, ray is coming with and we are looking at a property while we are there - so fingers crossed we can haggle a bit and it could be ours!!!! 12 arces of bliss and directly across the road from the race track - perfect.

not good news

well ray didnt get good news from the doc. His leg has still not healed and told him to come back in 12 months!!! So not we were excepting. He also cant get a clearance to ride track work!!!! So he starts at teh bakery in town tomorrow night. We are lucky he has another trade to fall back on - most jockeys dont, all they know how to do is to rie horses.
So ray has enjoyed his week off, he will enjoy being back in teh bakery for a while. where we are going we have no idea!!!!!

so right now, we are taking life as it comes. In about 9 weeks we wont even have a house to live in.... arghhhhhhh

We have found a very nice property only about 10kms out of Casino, but not house, no power, no phone, nothing!!!!! So at this stage we could be living in tents!!!! kids think its great....

well today is rays doc appointment to get the plate taken out of his leg. we either get a hospital date or told to come back in another 6 months!!!! its has already been 2 years - enough already....

not much else to report, they are allowed to do some horses this morning, but with ray living out of the area of the track and with our own horses he has to get a clearance from the stewards and that is not looking likely!!!!

oh and the poor birdsville races are off.... we should have left last sunday, but with docs and work cover we just could go and now they are called off - funny how sometimes turn out.....

Well ray is home again this morning and looks like he will be home for the rest of the week - argh he will drive me mental...lol
He is going to see a fellow this morning who owns the bakery in town. Ray is also a baker/pastry cook by trade. This fellow and Ray have worked together many years ago. He did that apprenticeship before doing his jockey apprenticeship. So he has some work for this weekend, just in case....lol This may go on for a month yet and to be honest it has to get alot worst before it can get better yet.

well ray got a sleep in this morning... he also has the day off - alas i have to go to work - i NEVER work on mondays - but i didnt go anywhere on thursday, i stayed home with the kids cause of the rain and changed all my customers today....

we are doomed to never to be together.....lol

Poor birsdville races this weekend may have to go ahead with a phantom meeting....

Income lost so far $1195 - and we are at the bottom of the food chain....

I know there is noting we can do about it and these forces MUST!!!!! be in place, so all we can do is whinge ......lol

No he hasnt been naughty....lol With the outbreak of equine influenza in NSW - Ray may be home for a few days. All horse movement has been stopped - that means ray cant go about his normal job, no horses to ride - no income!!!!!! There is a total ban until thursday.

We are more worried about our foals and old horses - it has a 40% mortality rate in foals and we are only 3 weeks into a 3 month foaling season. We have a couple of old brood mares and of course kids ponies - that are old. Ray would ride around 20 horses a morning at the track, then go to a couple of smaller private tracks on the way home and then do our horses - so in 1 day he may come in direct contact with about 30 horses, you add that with the other 12/15 jockeys and trackwork riders at that 1 track, that goes on every day at every track around Australia - scary scary stuff. At least its not as bad as back in 1994?? back then it was catching to humans!!!! that was very scary!!!!

Ray is now taking boys to the rifle range for the morning, i have house work to do and some scrapping!!!!

we today has been a fantastic day - we had a arigato party - our homestay formally thanked us with a tradional party. lots of yummy food and games.

I work, they pay me. I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit. In order to earn that pay cheque, as I work on a mine site or a Kalgoorlie construction project, I am required to pass a random urine test, with which I have no problem.
What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test. Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare cheque because I have to pass one to earn it for them??
Please understand - I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do on the other hand have a problem with helping someone sit on their arse drinking piss & smoking dope. Could you imagine how much money the state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance cheque?????

Ok, I am getting on my soap box now - i think this is a awesome idea!!!

You all know DH is a jockey and he has random urine testing at trackwork and on race day, DH's cousin who plays for the canberra raiders, has random urine testing..

FNL!!!! BB is finished and it feels strange - i keep looking at the clock...lol I didnt think i was addicted to teh show - i mean i didnt watch it every day!!!!!

Not much scrapping this week - i havent even brought anything this week - OMG!!!!

Koji is still here and enjoying himself - here is a few pics taken this monring - excuse the fact that theyare not in full uniform - there is no wayi would let them go to school in jeans!!!!! ( jeans for genes day today). Corey and koji are ridning bikes to school, Koji can ride but i dont think he does it too much when he is at home - he is stuffed when he gets home.

Ray has been taking them down to the practice green at the golf club the last few afternoons - they are having a ball...

oh love this month pic ladies - well done to who ever created it!!!!

Well koji has made himself at home. he helps himself to cake, drinks etc.. and has even started to call our name when he wants us. He went to Australia Zoo yesturday - he got some really great pics of the koala and the roo's... It was a very funny dinner table convo last night - we are asking koji what did he see at the zoo - with actions....lol he laughed at my elephant impression....it wasnt meant to be funny...roflpimp. This morning Corey and Koji rode to school, the smile of Koji's face was so cool - i wil get pics tomorow morning!!!!!

I am of to get a wax job done and a bit of a trim - i think and maybe a colour...

Teaching tonight and tomorrow morning at Gympie - so any of you up that way, drop into Remember When and say hi!!!!!! Staying with a really cool friend of mine - Jason- he is gay, but it's the first time I will be seeing him since he has come out of the closet - not that it is really a biggie - we already knew - but now that he has said it - it's different - iykwim.

OH OH OH - I almost forgot the biggest news ever!!!! The farm has gone, we no longer have the farm - handover was on tuesday!!!!!! so now we start looking for a new one......It's very weird....... I found a pic of my new home - ray laughed at me and asked which lifetime, I laughed and said the next one when i marry someone rich and famous and good looking - roflpimp, he said he was going to marry someone skinny, beautiful and with half a brain.....lol - oh we so love each other - seriously we both like the look of this house, so now its trying to find one that can be transformed into something similar...

Matt did very well at his sports day - also on friday - when will these schools work things out!!!! He got 1st in the 400m, 2nd in the long jump and 2nd in the 100m and 2nd overall for 15 year old boys, no photos yet. I know - bad mummy!!!!!

we took koji for a horse ride yesturday - he had never been on a horse so that was fun... We tried to give him a go on the motorbike or go karts - nope - he put his foot down firm!!!! He really love being around the animals. Ray then took them down to the practise green at the golf course for a hit - 3 hours later they come home - i think i may go down this arvo with them and get some pics.

it has been a mad house here - ok its always a mad house - but it has been crazy as well as mad.

Koji arrived safe and sound, he very cheerful!!! fitted right in with my boys, played on the trampoline, with the dogs, touch footy and of course the strong man comp...lol boys are boys no matter where they come from...lol

Corey had sports day yesturday, he did very well getting into a few finals, but just getting pipped at the post. He did get 3rd in high jump. Sorry for the sideways pic - puter being silly today. Koji joined and got a few ribbons for himself, shotput, long jump and 100m. The exchange students competed against each other and joined in for ball games - oh joy ball games....lol

well almost, his plane has landed, he has a few exchaneg student things, paperwork etc to do then he heads up to us. Hi sname is Koji, not idea how to pronuce it yet, i will get to you on that one. oh this house is bouncing off teh walls teh last few days. every one is excited to open our home to this child for 3 weeks.

We have no idea what we are doing on sunday - any ideas what we can do on sunday??? he is already going to australia zoo and teh gold coast with his tour group. We need something "aussie" and not to much $- remember the is going to be 6 of us and not to far we have to take 2 cars every where...

I hav eto work in gympie today, so i had better get moving, I hav eto be back by 3pm to pick him up from school.

what a peaceful day today is going to be.

I played a online game of bingo at CPC yesturday that lasted 9 hours - honest - so many of us were sitting on one word - it was fun.

ray had a awesomeay at the races - he rode 3 winners out of a possibe 5, the last 3 weekends i have gone with him to the races and none!!!!! i stayed home yesturday and he gets 3 winners - he says i am his bad luck charm!!!! lol

yesturday a neighbour called us and wanted to know if we want to see conjoined pigs!!! serious - these piglets were born on friday arvo - and were born and then died straight away. he has kept them to take up the high school tomorrow - they can disect them and check it out

This was corey on friday -He got home form camp, had a feed and a hot shower then hit the couch and that is where he stayed!!!! He looks so cute. When he woke up on saturday morning, the first thing he said was - its good to be in my own bed.

oh oh oh - guess what i made - lasagne - well it was the first time i had ever made it - not sure i never had before, it just seemed to hard basket and the fact that only i ate it!!! WELL..... everyone but ray and cam decieded that they eat it now and there was none left!!!!!

looks like it will be making it again. just remember to make way more cheese sauce!!!!!

ok thats it for today - have solda nother horse so i had better get dressed before the lady gets here to pick it up!!!!

Corey's home from camp!!!!!! I didnt realised how much i missed him, i think cameron missed him too....matt is being rude and couldnt care less!!!! so matt went to school and i let cameron stay home becasue he helped get the bags etc off the bus. Corey coule wait to give us all our pressies - he got cameron a music box, the little wind up ones - cam loves them - corey is so sweet. Corey also got himself and the other two these glow in the dark blow up ball things - that fit over your head....lol

he is now having a nice shower and i will feed him and then i shouldnt hear from him for hours.....lol

12 years old!!!!! yes its corey's birthday and he is in canberra on year 7 camp. one of teh teachers jsut rang so i could listen to them sing happy birthday to him.... i had tears - it was awesome!!!!!

they let him ring this morning ( phones aren't allowed on till 6.00pm) an di said a quick hello etc.... but waiting for tonights call and nana and pop arew waiting to ring.....

ok big catch up post - grab a vodka and a comfy chair.

remember back in april, i opened some corn and it had "blood" in it, i rang mcains and told them etc, they sent a rep and said they would get back in contact with me. well, i get a call this week, um its not human blood or animal blood, in fact we have no idea what it is. we would like to thank you for your understanding in this matter, we would like you give you a dinner voucher - do you have a resturant in mind?? um... shit think julie - sizzler, well i couldn't think in a hurry... so we have a $100 voucher for dinner at sizzler's - YAY!!!!!

SAM - i got my parcel, some hold up with aussie post. but its here and used....lol

I have been asked to be a scrappers spotlight for counrtypapercraft - thanks for asking my guys.

I have also joined the team at Scrap your scraps - this is a fun group, showing you how to use up your scraps.

I have also made it into teh scrap the boys blog again - i love this blog just for boys and things boys do.

um.... went out to charleville for the races, we stayed at roma friday and saturday night. wentto teh big rig, didnt have time for the night light show - next time. We did go out for dinner at the commonwealth hotel - awesdome food - huge plates - i had a chicken ceasar salad - yummmmmmy....

Corey is on year 7 camp - in canberra - its his birthday tomorrow - and he's not here!!!!!!

oh man - what a wirlwind of a week this is. Ok what has happened since monday - I leaft home on tuesday morning, dropped kids at school, went to the gym, worked for a little bit, meet michelle and asha for morning tea. it was so nice - she even poked her tounge out at me and gave me a awesome burp....lol, then i picked up my mum and nephew ( who were holidaying up here) and drove them down to yamba. had a lovely dinner cooked for me!!!!
drunk way too much and crawled into bed around midnight - not late - BUT those of you who know me know that my bed time is 8.30pm sharp!!!!!

wednesday - took 2 neices and 2 nephews to teh park - got soem awesome photos, it was refreshing to take photos of different things - ok, ok girl things...hehehehe after a few parks, lookouts and a nice chocolate ice cream, i took them back to their mother and went to work - evil!!!! bwahahaha - i get home to a lovely baked dinner, no cooking, no dishes, no chores - not my home...lol my sisters - roflpimp early to bed last night - i have learnt my lesson!!!!

today i was up and on the road and heading to casino for work, lismore for breakfast of kfc mashies..yummmmm - then all the way home.

Off to Roma tomorrow afternoon and then charleville on saturday for teh races, back to roma on saturday night, then home on sunday.

after tuesday, i should be back to normal - ok - semi normal ....lol

weekend away - again!!!

well another weekend done and dusted. Ray and I went up to bundaberg and then gladstone and then home this weekend.

We left home at 4.30am and headed up to harvey bay - work for me. then onto bundaberg - more work for me and then on to the bundaberg races - work for ray and then onto to galdstone - work for me.

we were arrived a little bit early for the races so we stopped at teh hinkler museum - no photos allowed - argh....

ray then went to sign in the jockeys room and sat in teh car and had lunch and a cat nap. I woke myself up from snoring!!! lol

no luck for ray today - that's racing.

we then drove up to gladstone - i took this photo of teh sun setting form the car - not real great. on saturday we saw the sun rise and set in the car...lol

we got to gladstone and drove around looking for a motel - came across a 4star - part of a certain chain and thought - that will do. we were to late for there resturant, so checked in and went for a drive into town. Found this lovely looking tavern type place - well it was nice alright - an hour wait for dinner at 8.30pm - i don't hink so!!! so we starting driving around again, we found this realy cool chinese smorgasboard - $15 a head - bargin that will do!!!

got back to the motel about 9pm - oh my goodness - there were a bunch of about 8/10 big kids running around the carpark. mumble grumble!!!

had showers and settled down to watch harry potter - then the music statred and the kids started again - argh....

around 12.30am - it stopped and we finally got some sleep - then at 3.00am a fight broke out - sonething about she loves him and is not leaving - then a dog started - it sounded like it was in the room next door - nah it cant be!!!!

finally got back to sleep - when we awoke at 7.00am and got packed up etc - as we walked out of our room, our neighbours also walked out - with their dog!!!!!!!!!

i was so mad!!!!! - i went to check out etc and asked for a refund - i was told that it's too bad, she is not responsable for the guest's!!! um hello - yes you are!!!! I stated that you are a 4star motel there are standards etc... and that i will take this matter higher - she said she is the manger etc - i so no higher - you are part of a chain and that is what made us book etc....

so after a bad start to the day, we got going and went for a drive around the marina - so lovely!!!! i did a few hours work then we headed home!!!

i have had my whinge i feel much better....lol

i ordered at Scrapbooks and More's so called end of year sale - really should have called it a closing down sale - anyway - my order still has not turned up and i cant even claimed through aussie post (* which will only give you a max refund of $100 anyway) cause teh sender has to do it and i cant get on to them!!!!! the contact page is not working, all numbers have ceased - NOT HAPPY JAN!!!!!!!!

I have started teh process with my bank to get a refund but it takes up to 60dyas!!!!! arghhhhhhhhhh

What a weekend

I had a lovely weekend out west. we stayed the night at st. george, oh man the weir has dropped so much since last time we were out there.

Ray rode at cunnamulla races.

Ray had no joy in the races, got cleaned up real bad in one race - thats racing -lol

only corey came with us this time - matt had to work and cameron didnt want to sit in the car with corey for 9 hours....hehehe He should have come, they have had 11" of rain since christmas and things are looking green and there were heaps of ferals on the side of teh road.. We come across the huge mob of goats - not a gun in sight - argh.....

we stopped of at a bird place just out of st. george - beautiful place - i love birds. they had a huge selection of birds and a few pet kangroos.

On sunday morning we went and helped do some lamb marking and docking, boy that was fun. i have a millon burrs in my hands and arms, got some great photos. oh the best part was riding in the back of the ute - th ecold wind blowing through your hair - argh... pure joy...

We then went down to visit another friend and his camels - no time for a ride this trip, just a photo shoot and a quick cuppa....

oh how do you know its school holidays???? - kids are covered in tattoos..lol

So after 2034km, some feral pigs and goats, lots of dirt and dust and burrs we made it home safe and sound...

off to kingaroy today and catch up with some friends -

hackers - why these silly little minded people need to do what they do is beyond me!!!!

after a awesome weekend away, i came home to a poor puter that had been kiddnapped!!!!

after 6 hours and umpteen phone calls we are almost back - the kids puters are still down and the wireless router is still not working - but at least i am back online.

i will do a better post in teh morning off my awesoem weekend - i have prickles and burrs everywhere and they are starting to pus up already - i am about to have a shower then sit in bed watching big brother and dig them out - ouchies....

OMG - i am freezing - i had to sleep in my pj's last night( yes i sleep naked - did i scare you child??...) and we havent turned the bed up yet!!! Usually we have turned the bed up to about 25 around mid july - i think i will do it today so that when we get back its ready.

We are off to cunnamulla for the weekend. Ray is racing out there, driving to st. george today and the then rest of the way tomorrow, stay out there tomorrow night then drive all the way back on sunday. its nice drive - about 8/9 hours but it through some very nice country and heaps of place sto stop and look at. oh and the speed limit is 110km once you get through dalby.... lmao

you all know i am a speed demon!!!!

catch up.....

first of all - i got my new fridge!!! YAY - its worth every single penny - i so want its mate now, but i simply have no room and i have been TOLD that i cant have it until we move.... boohoo.

I think the kids got more fun out of the box the thing came in. I couldn't pick which photos i liked best so here is a few pics of my boys ( including ray) playing with a $1500 box!!!!

Saturday was our local show - i think i told you that - i didnt get many pics this year - so damn cold - i didnt even stay for the fireworks - corey and i stayed home and watched movies in the warmth.

Not much scrapping for my self lately - its all for classes, DT etc... here are a few sneak peaks...SHHHH don't tell.

rain rain - there's rain in QLD!!!!!! i love the rain - its nice weather to curl up on the lounge and watch movies.

Thank you to every one who left a lovely comment while i was sick. I am still fluey but no where new as bad as i was. it was a bad flu!!!!

i havent done much scrapping lately - here's a layout that i started before i got sick and it sat on my desk for a week and now i cant stand to look at it - there is a huge ink mess on it - i will cover it with a flower or something later on....lol

I did very well at the show - i got champion ( goes on total points) and a lovely prize. I will take photos soon - after having last week off with teh flu - i am working hard this week - ok, ok you all know i dont work hard but it's hard work pretending....lol

i also picked up my prize from blossies - i will take a pic of that soon too.

I won - YAY!!!! blossies had a comp and i won - woohoo.

I am feeling a lot better today, man it has been a rough week. This flu is bad , very very bad!!!! I have been very good and wentto the docs early and got some drugs!!!! THANK YOU to every one who asked how i have been.

We have our local show is on today, its wet and cold. I still don't know how my entries went, no one has rung and told me, just as well - they know not too....lol. Matt is working untill 3pm so at least i only have togo for a little bit, get a showbag, some fireworks, rodeo and then home - oh joy!!!! I have warned the boys that if its wet - we ain't staying!!!!!

oh oh oh - guess what - i got my new fridge - yes i have taken photos, just havent upload yet. ok that is it for now - have a great weekend everyone!!!!

no layout today peoples - its still half done on my desk.....

i am sick today, it started on sunday. i woke up with a snotty nose ( too much info i know) and by sunday arvo and eyes were very watery as well. Woke up yesturday with teh worst head cold, but i went of the the gym anyway. got home and promtly sat on the lounge and that is where i stayed until 4.30pm. i didnt sleep but i started watching a doco on CI ( pay TV crime channel) and got so into it, that i didnt wantto move. here is the link to the story - http://www.wm3.org/splash.php - omg talk about an injustice - my two cents worth.

This is george, he was sitting infront of the flag the kids have in front on their caravan, i thought it made a great background for this pic.

This is a way cool photo. Corey and Dylan in NZ. I was i knew what they were thinking. Corey and Dylan had meet before but Dylan was too young to remember. This photo was taken on our first day in NZ. Corey was sitting next to him in Nana's car and the look on his face when we all piled was so priceless.

We love our doggies. each afternoon, when we have finished feeding up etc we let the dogs have a play. I think the dogs love it more than the kids. Beavis and Goran run around like kids in a candy shop, playing chase.

Then matt and Nathan thought it would be fun to throw cambo into the pool. the pool which is half empty and green and COLD!!! lol

Oh and our fridge died. we woke up on Saturday morning and it was warm. We knew it was dying and had started looking for a new one, hoping it would hold out until the stock take sales started. So we now have every thing in the bar fridge.

I have a nice easy week for work this week, so you will never guess what i am doing - SCRAPPING!!!!!

oh i broke a the first ring we got made from our sapphires we found. no idea how it broke, no idea when it broke - but its broken completely across the band. i still have it on , i am afraid if i take it off i will lose it.

thats about it - boring - not as boring as ray - hes watching lord of the rings - in MY bedroom - so i missed big brother cause the kids were wacthing some kids movie on disney and now i am going to miss house cause i am too lazy to change it of pay tv onto to free to air....

Oh man what a huge 10 days i have had - has it only been 10 days - OMG!

Well this one time at band camp......

ok here goes....

i had a wisdom tooth pulled out on the Thursday, drove home felt ok - then the drugs wore off and man my jaw was sore. I spent Thursday and Friday sulking on the lounge.

Saturday i taught 2 class at Scrapping Family Treasures at Boondall.

Ray rang on his way home from Nanango Races because he realised that he hadn't seen Pirates 2 ( as we were going to see 3 on Sunday he thought he had better see 2), of course the video shop ( yes its still called the video shop in this little town...lol) didn't have a copy. So after a few phones calls i found a copy. ray then rang back and said don't for get some MnM and chicken twisties - oh and grab some stubbies and we can have a shandy - argh - hello i am already in my jammies, cant you get them.... argh

I got busted getting MnM's at the corner store - always the way, I thought i could duck in and no one would see me.... but no................

Any way Ray, Corey and I spent the evening watching Pirates 2. Matt was camping out the forestry and Cambo was at a friends place.

By 8.30am on the Sunday the entire family was home and dressed and ready to go. We went to the movies and saw pirates 3 - it was cool - i think the sword fight seen was way to long - but any one who has a short attention span - ok males and any one under about 18/20 - would have loved it because they would have forgotten what happened about 3 mins early and thought it was all new - roflpimp

oh i want a pet rock crab - how cute were those things.

then off the Hungry jacks for lunch and then home.

by Sunday arvo i was sick - my mouth was very inflamed and sore, so on Monday morning i had another trip to the dentist for some drugs and a packing change, spent the rest of the day sul;king on the lunge watching SVU on TV1 and CI - man i can plan the perfect murder!!!! lol

Tuesday was the same - i also know how to execute the perfect murder...lol

thank goodness thou i was starting to feel better. I did a heap of scrapping on Wednesday and Thursday, mostly class stuff.

Friday went out to lunch with Virginia, nikki and colleen - it was a yummy lunch must do that again.

Friday was big brother live games - its just so funny to watch....

6.00am on Saturday ray and i left for weekend away - well sort off.

Ray was racing at Bundaberg, i decided that i would put my rep folders in the car and visit a few stores as well. We got to Gin Gin by 9.30am then onto Bundaberg. Dropped Ray at the racetrack while i visited some stores, got back to the racetrack, picked up Ray and then we drove to Gladstone. After the last store left, we ate put chinese that we had delivered - ok you all know i live in a small town - no such thing as delivery - lol small things...lol we then watched shrek 1 and didn't see the end of it - did Fiona marry the prince??

We ate our left over chinese for breakfast and a drumstick ice cream, that we brought for dessert but didn't eat - shhhh don't tell the kids we had ice cream for breakfast. We then drove down to Harvey bay to visit another store, then down to Gympie. ray enjoyed a poultry show while i visited yet another store. Then it was across to Kingaroy for yet another store. Ray had a wonderful nanny nap in the car. We then decided there was no way we going to be home for dinner so we had KFC while the kids had nanas home cooking.

by 7 pm we were all home, fed and showered. watch BB and then hit that pillow and died. didn't even hear ray leave at 3am....

Worked on Monday and had yet another dentist appointment - only 2 to go and my teeth will be looking lovely - well better than they were...lol [Julie]

I went looking for a new fridge - OMG talk about difficult - i think i like the look of stainless steel - ray wants a ice machine but they only come in the joined units - so not going there again!!!!!

thought i woudl share some pics of the races - i forgot how much i enjoy going to the races. look at how naughty ray is in this pic - he is looking behind him... he still won by about 4 lengths.

I am enjoying mu sunday baking days again. yesturday cameon gave me a hand, we made neenish tarts, hedgehog slice, rock cakes and choco eclairs. after i had made it all, i found out that i am teh only one that like real neenish tarts ( with lemon filling ) oh well live and learn.

cameron of course loves to eat the raw cookie dough, he took the last of the choux pastry from the piping bag - roflpimp!!!!!!

burnt pizza - sort of! i decided to make pizza for dinner last night, i had made 2 and i had enough dough left over to make a third, it will be for afternoon teas the next day. we we sat down eating pizza and home made garlic bread out of some stale bread rolls that i HAD to buy and no bugger ate them. any way we are eating away and corey gets up for a drink - hey mum you burning something??? bugger bugger bugger - yeah pizza....lol

oh well the dogs had pizza for breakfast...lol

i was driving home from forest lake in peak hour crap of course, as i have e toll i stayed in my fast lane, got through the tolls, up over the gateway bridge and down the other side. still in the fast lane sitting on about 95 absolute tops!!! i was just going with the flow - honest!!!!!

there was a 4wd in front of me and two trucks ( on the inside lane) beside me and the 4wd. all of a sudden the 4wd swerved into the left lane and the trucked came across in front of me - i slammed on my brakes and spun 90deg and then stopped - i was sitting sideways across the bridge facing the Brisbane river, across two lanes of traffic and the truck that was beside me had also stopped and i was sitting sideways in front of it - like a T - i shit myself - smoke and burnt rubber.....

if the truck had been a car it would have hit me for sure - i think because the it was a truck he was higher and could the first truck jump lanes, and then the 4wd and i think he was expecting me too.

i rang ray ( hands free) i was in tears and wanted to stop and vomit but i couldn't - there is no where to get off!!!!!

after talking to him for a bit - i was cool...... this is why i hate the city - they are such aggressive drivers....

well not much to comment on - matt had cross country today, but his shoulder still in a sling, he was on drinks patrol, cameron stayed home to work on an assignment - so this is the first year both of them have not competed - such as life.

they are also both home tomorrow - parent teacher interview so school shuts at 12.00 - no bus to get them home so matt is giing to work and cameron has another day to work on assignments - corey is going to school!!!!!

Corey has cross counrty today at 12pm - woodford, Cameron gets back from camp at 2pm - caboolture, Matt has dance eisteddfod at 7pm - caloundra. Matt needs to get new black shoes - northlakes, have to pick up work stuff at 4pm - gateway.
